Terms of Service — Pagedrop

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using pagedrop.ai (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

2. Service Description

Pagedrop renders GitHub Gists as shareable web pages with annotations and revision history. It also provides a profile view and export tools for your drops.

The free tier includes unlimited drops, local annotations, revision history, and markdown export.

GitHub Gists are the source of truth for page content. Pagedrop proxies and caches gist content to deliver pages quickly, but does not permanently store gist content.

3. Accounts and Eligibility

You must have a GitHub account to create content and manage drops. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your GitHub account and any tokens you authorize.

Some features require authentication or an active subscription. We may refuse service to anyone for any reason consistent with these Terms.

4. Content Ownership and License

You own the GitHub Gists you create. Pagedrop does not claim ownership of your gists or your annotations.

To operate the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to fetch, cache, render, and display your gists and related metadata for you and your collaborators.

Annotations are user-generated content. You are responsible for the content you submit and any consequences of sharing it.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service. This includes:

Posting or sharing unlawful, harmful, or infringing content.
Abusing the annotation system, including harassment, spam, or automated abuse.
Attempting to disrupt, probe, or reverse engineer the Service.
Violating GitHub’s terms or policies.

6. Pro Subscription and Billing

The Pro plan is $5 per month and includes persistent server-side annotations and the ability to hide Pagedrop branding.

Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges until you cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

Stripe handles payment method collection, refunds, and charge disputes. Please keep your billing details current.

7. Availability and Changes

The Service is provided as-is without any service-level guarantees. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

We are not responsible for downtime, data loss, or interruptions, including failures in GitHub, Stripe, or other third-party services.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if you violate these Terms or if your use creates risk or legal exposure.

You may stop using the Service at any time. Termination does not affect your ownership of your gists.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Martian Engineering, LLC disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from use of the Service.

10. Dispute Resolution

If you have a dispute or concern, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it informally. If we cannot resolve it, any claim will be handled in a court of competent jurisdiction.
